We will host African themed cooking demonstrations, where children will learn how to make healthy African foods. The aims of the activity are to provide children with new cooking skills and to encourage children and families to work jointly outside of the session to make these foods.
To compliment the African themed cooking demonstrations, children will develop their own recipes which they can make outside of the session.
Both sessions can be done offline and online, we plan to share pre-recorded videos for the demonstrations with use of projector and will provide the weblink with families for them to recreate at home.
We plan to work with a nutritionist as part of the delivery for some of these activities.
Parents will be encouraged to take part in some of the sessions such as the cooking demonstration and will be given a set up recipes for them to try outside of the session. Parents will also be informed on how they can provide healthy affordable meals for their families.
Additionally, we would sign post parents and carers to the relevant health and wellbeing agencies, in case they would like to learn more about health and wellbeing.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
